OBAMA

I am in a fog today. I am so happy and relieved that our country has finally gotten it right. I just visited Michael Moore's website and saw videos of folks dancing in the streets. I have seen many tears shed and have shed a few myself. This is an historic day. I am so hopeful and so encouraged. Finally the picture of the Presidents will have an individual that looks different from the rest. What a great gift to give our children. Onward and upward.

Halloween

Today is Halloween and we are only open until 4:00 pm so trick or treating is sort of iffy. Josh and I wore costumes, but Maggie and Cheryl did not. I bought candy for the patrons and hope that some of my favorites come in today. Vince was already in this morning and he got some M&Ms. He wondered why I had on Fairy Wings. He didn't realize it was Halloween. I wonder how many folks don't realize that fact?
Kathy shared a book with me yesterday about evolution. The author claims that we are in an evolutionary phase of life where we should be looking outward. Gone are the days of needing cars, money and things. We should now have evolved to the point where looking out for others in our main concern. I believe Obama could help us in that evolutionary endeavor. I'm crossing my fingers until Tuesday. We have to have a change. Many of us have threatened to go to Canada or France if this election doesn't go "forward" for us. Although I have endured several bouts of anger from patrons who have noticed my bumper sticker, I will not be deterred.

WIKI

I decided to visit the movie section and went on Little Shop of Horrors. It claimed it had four posts, but I didn't find them.
I went on to visit the 2008-2009 TV Season. I found all the new programming for this fall/winter and read a description of each.
Not rocket science, but it was fun.

The MCDL 8N08 Exercise 6 was downloadable media. I went into the NPR: Books PodCast
and listened to some Chick Lit. Barbara Kingsolver and others and then went into An Autistic Student's Journey to College. Very interesting.

I also listened to NPR's Book Talk, which had a discussion with Hanif Kureishi and his latest book, Something to Tell You.

Then I downloaded the eBook 101 Dalmations.
